The Revolution Ceramic Series bearings are a low friction bearing with several options to help satisfy anyone's desire. Instead of the steel balls they use silicone nitride ceramic balls (Si3N4).
A ceramic can spin at higher rpms with less drag and the life of the bearing is far greater than a steel bearing but in our industry we suggest that you maintain them with oil or grease every half-gallon to a gallon for the longest life possible. Another benefit to ceramics is the weight difference in the balls allowing for less rotating mass.

The TLR 22X-4 Carbon Fiber Shock Tower set is made from 100% carbon fiber, added upper camber link, lightly chamfered edges to maintain that TLR factory look and to help prevent splitting, and Avid logo machined into the upper support arm.

The TLR 13mm shock bodies offer 22 and 22X-4 racers the plush feeling of the larger bodies while utilizing all your other G3 components with 3mm shafts. When Cecil and his team at Schumacher developed the 13mm shock bodies in 2011 for the Cougar SV, the US market didn't take notice because our tracks were so different. The benefits were undeniable though when AE released theirs in the US for their B6.4.
In 10th scale, pack is not something we strive for like we do in 8th scale. The larger 13mm body allows for less volume displacement under compression which allows for a much more predictable feeling on the track. This is why we have included (2) 2.0mm thin blank pistons for you to get going.
With the piston face being larger at 13mm, this requires more oil to be moved so the standard piston configuration of 2x1.5 in the front and 2x1.6 in the rear does not work the same. We recommend starting with 2x1.7 in the front and 2x1.8 in the rear. If the track is super bumpy or choppy go up to 2x1.8 in the front and 2x1.9 in the rear.
Piston Tips:
- AVID RC recommend drilling the pistons to 2x1.7 in the front and 2x1.8 in the rear. Avid and AE 13mm pistons will work in these shocks and your standard oils such as 32.5F/30R.

Titanium Lower Shock Mounts for 10th scale vehicles make it easy for getting your shocks off and on while not wearing out the plastic from repeated uses. The one design feature we added to this common product is the 6 small holes in each mount. They are not there to lose weight but rather to help keep the mount from backing out as easily when taking the nut off the end, acting as a bit of a serration.

The Avid 14x25.4x6 Ceramic Engine Bearing offers the maximum performance and reliability to your racing engine at an unbeatable price. The bearing specs are Abec3, 9 G3 Si3N4 Ceramic Balls, PA66 with 30 Glass Fiber Cage, Deep Groove Offset Races, and Chrome Steel 52100 Rings. It has no seals to allow for proper lubrication from the oil in your fuel. A ceramic engine bearing can allow most RC engines to spin an extra 500 rpm with less drag and the life of the bearing is far greater than a steel bearing. Tips
- Diagnosing: If you hold the head of the engine with your hand and the rattling sound disappears then you have a worn-out rear bearing. The risks/issues of a bad rear bearing are not holding a tune, crank can get worn, and worst of all the bearing comes apart and eats your piston/sleeve.
- Installation: The best way to install is to use a bearing puller/installer, OFNA makes a very affordable one. If you place the new bearing in the freezer for 15 minutes it will be easier to install.
- Positioning: For proper lubrication, face the open side where you can see the balls to the rear of the motor (not the clutch side).
- Break-In: For the first run of these bearings, Avid suggests that you fatten your motor up on the high-end needle so the ceramic balls will seat instead of skidding them.

The Avid M4 Ringer Wheel Nuts are designed to be the strongest all-around wheel nut for offroad and touring car racing. The 11mm flange provides the needed support from potential wheel flex on high bite tracks.
A thin 3.5mm thickness keeps weight down but also allows the nut to be used on 4wd fronts and if you cut your axles to length you will grab fewer pipes with them too. So we have moved to a more traditional ribbing pattern with the addition of a triangle truss feature right where the hex applies the most torque into the plastic wheel.
We kept the traditional concave face that everyone has come to love over the past 10 years but with a slightly less aggressive curvature. The tire glue bead ribs on the outside have also been shortened to make your landing more plush allowing the foam to absorb the energy instead of the rubber tire hitting the taller rib commonly seen. Tips:
- Steel ball, least expensive and easy to adjust the diff. However you will have to replace them more often and the diff will never be as smooth as a Tungsten Carbide or Ceramic ball version.

They are anodized red and designed with an aerodynamic profile to avoid upsetting airflow to the rear spoiler, and most importantly, the under-side has serrated grippers to help keep your wing secure.

The TLR SLRC (Super Low Roll Center) Shims are made out of 100% carbon and offered in this set with two thicknesses of 0.5mm and 1.0mm.
Lowering the front hinge pins allows the front end to roll more. This is extremely helpful for absorbing the extra energy caused by high bite tracks like carpet/astro turf/prepped clay.
It can sometimes be counter-intuitive thinking why this helps, but a good way to picture the benefits, imagine your car has turnbuckles as front shock. When giving your car any steering input the car will immediately respond causing the rear to become unstable.
This increase in roll helps slow all that reaction down.

- Diagnosing: Typically you can tell a front bearing is going out if after a run there is a large wet spot on the bottom of your motor next to the flywheel. A little bit of wet is ok and usually just a sign of a rich low-end needle. If the bearing is bad your signs will be inconsistent tune and possible chance of damaging the crank/case if it completely goes.
- Installation: The best way to install is to use a bearing puller/installer. If you place the new bearing in the freezer for 15 minutes it will be easier to install.
- Positioning: This bearing has a rubber seal on each side. There is a lot of debate on leaving both seals on the bearing or taking one off and installing the bearing with the rubber seal facing the outside world. Contrary to popular belief, the seal is not designed to keep fuel from coming out of the engine. The seal is ONLY there to keep dirt from coming into the bearing. Personally, I pop out one seal with an X-acto just to increase the performance of the bearing even higher. However, there is a large following for leaving both of them on. You will be amazed how freely this bearing spins even with both seals on so the choice is up to you.

Bearing Maintenance:
- You should never use motor spray and especially not brake cleaner on any RC bearing. Those products make cleaning a breeze but at a price because they are caustic and eat away the surface causing excessive pitting on the races. The best way to clean bearings is to use a citrus cleaner which you can usually find at home depot or even the grocery store and safe to have on your skin. It takes a bit more work but your bearings will thank you. There are several ways to do it, an ultrasonic cleaner is the best to make a soak with but with our current Aura line having no seals you may pour the citrus cleaner into a bowl and put the bearing on a top shaft, diff outdrive, or idler pin so you can submerse it in the solution and lightly spin the bearing so any debris will work its way out. Once the bearing is smooth again, remove the residue left behind by the citrus cleaner by running water over them and then immediately dry them. We suggest using an air compressor to make sure no water is left but don't let the air compressor spin the bearing (very bad for the balls and races to be operated at such high RPM). Once dry, lubricate quickly to protect the bearings from humidity and so you don’t accidentally run them dry. We suggest using Avid Slip Oil or Slide Grease.

Avid Slip Bearing Oil will blow you away from the performance gains you will receive by using it. Take our word for it, this is very expensive oil and has been through several 3rd party tests and it isn't even a competition against the other common light oils in the world. This Teflon based oil is designed to reduce metal on metal wear by reducing friction and will remove dirt while displacing other moisture to add protection from rust.
The Slip oiler pen gives easy access to bearings with a 25.4mm steel tip which is protected by the plastic cap. It holds 7.4cc of oil which should last you well over a year of racing.
Oil can be used on wheel and clutch bearings. If you want to prolong the life of a clutch bearing Avid suggests that you blow out the grease of the bearing with an air compressor and use the bearings just like this for the first 1/2 gallon.
This leaves a slight layer of protection to the bearing and then each time you take your motor out to check the clutch shoes, you should wipe down the bearing to remove any dirt collected on the outside and then add 1 drop of Slip Bearing Oil to the bearing before putting back into the clutch.
