Slide bearing grease provides great protection to your bearing by maintaining lubrication and adding an extra barrier that helps block dust/dirt to reach the deep groove where the ball spins against the rings.
This grease is a light white and capable of performing at temps between -50c to 150c. And guess what, this is the grease that Avid uses in 90% of it's bearings so you are already getting the best grease in your stock bearings and now you can replenish them to make your bearings last longer.
The best thing that separates this grease other then the performance is the syringe that it comes with that makes it so easy to apply. The syringe holds 1/2 oz (6 cc) of grease and ships as pictured minus the ziplock bag which includes a rubber sealing tip.
This pack of 5 small hinged branded plastic doodad containers are great for those small items in your tool box that just need a tad bit more of that OCD attention to detail. We have been using this container for years now for our engine bearing line etc. They come in so handy when you just need a small container for that slipper rebuild, piston change, or engine bearing swap yet you don't want the part to mingle with the other parts in your screw container.

The Revolution Ceramic Series bearings are a low friction bearing with several options to help satisfy anyone's desire. Instead of the steel balls they use silicone nitride ceramic balls (Si3N4).
What makes this bearing unique is that it has a rubber seal on one side while having a metal shield on the other. Rubber seals are great protectors against dirt but the price is that they offer a little more friction due to the tighter seal. Now the performance of a metal shield is excellent but allows dirt to get in easily. So with the Revolution series, you run the rubber side towards the outside and the metal towards the inside. You get the protection of the rubber but the added performance by having one less rubber seal.
But you don't have to stop there, if you are truly performance oriented and want the least amount of friction then you're in luck. You can quickly pop off the rubber seal with an X-acto and place the metal shield facing outward in your hubs. This is the best performance you could attain while maintaining some protection from dirt.

The Aura 5x10x3 Ceramic Single Metal Bearing (MR105ZC/B3/3S) is part of our new pinnacle bearing line developed for racers seeking the highest level of performance. We took what we learned from our rear ceramic engine bearings and shrank that technology down to offer the most advanced bearings for your RC vehicle.
Considering the diversity of our loyal customers, spending more is not always the way to go. The Aura line is not designed for the warriors that race several times a week and don't have time to go through their car to provide the proper maintenance needed to keep the Aura in a good state. We recommend that you stick with our greased Halo Revolution bearing line which has established a prowess all of its own by being a 9-time IFMAR World Champion winning product.

The Halo ceramic series of bearings are a high quality steel/chrome bearing with metal shields and silicone nitride ceramic balls (Si3N4). These bearings have been tested and proven by many racers.
5x13x4 Halo ceramic bearing by Avid Racing Concepts is the standard bearing for the 1/8th Losi 8ight, Serpent, and Agama clutches.
A ceramic can spin at higher rpms with less drag and the life of the bearing is far greater than a steel bearing but in our industry we suggest that you maintain them with oil or grease every half-gallon to a gallon for the longest life possible.
Another benefit to ceramics is the weight difference in the balls allowing for less rotating mass. These bearings also come with our newly developed high speed and temp oil instead of grease. So you no longer have to remove the grease. Just put them in and run.
Check your manual for the correct size for your vehicle if you are not certain.

Specifications:
- Advanced bearing technology developed from our ceramic rear engine bearing line.
- Si3N4 ceramic balls for increased achievable RPM, lightweight, and smoother than traditional steel balls.
- Deep groove chrome steel 52100 rings with a premium surface finish.
- Lubricated with high-speed AeroShell light oil.
Bearing Maintenance:
- You should never use motor spray and especially not brake cleaner on any RC bearing. Those products make cleaning a breeze but at a price because they are caustic and eat away the surface causing excessive pitting on the races. The best way to clean bearings is to use a citrus cleaner which you can usually find at home depot or even the grocery store and safe to have on your skin. It takes a bit more work but your bearings will thank you. There are several ways to do it, an ultrasonic cleaner is the best to make a soak with but with our current Aura line having no seals you may pour the citrus cleaner into a bowl and put the bearing on a top shaft, diff outdrive, or idler pin so you can submerse it in the solution and lightly spin the bearing so any debris will work its way out. Once the bearing is smooth again, remove the residue left behind by the citrus cleaner by running water over them and then immediately dry them. We suggest using an air compressor to make sure no water is left but don't let the air compressor spin the bearing (very bad for the balls and races to be operated at such high RPM). Once dry, lubricate quickly to protect the bearings from humidity and so you don’t accidentally run them dry. We suggest using Avid Slip Oil or Slide Grease.
Bearing Dimensions:
- METRIC:8mm (Inner) x12mm (Outer) x3.5mm (Width)
Avid Slip Bearing Oil will blow you away from the performance gains you will receive by using it. Take our word for it, this is very expensive oil and has been through several 3rd party tests and it isn't even a competition against the other common light oils in the world. This Teflon based oil is designed to reduce metal on metal wear by reducing friction and will remove dirt while displacing other moisture to add protection from rust.
The Slip oiler pen gives easy access to bearings with a 25.4mm steel tip which is protected by the plastic cap. It holds 7.4cc of oil which should last you well over a year of racing.
Oil can be used on wheel and clutch bearings. If you want to prolong the life of a clutch bearing Avid suggests that you blow out the grease of the bearing with an air compressor and use the bearings just like this for the first 1/2 gallon.
This leaves a slight layer of protection to the bearing and then each time you take your motor out to check the clutch shoes, you should wipe down the bearing to remove any dirt collected on the outside and then add 1 drop of Slip Bearing Oil to the bearing before putting back into the clutch.
These have been updated with a smaller outside diameter to 7mm to prevent them from touching the seal/shield of your clutch bearing.

Product Overview
The 5x10x4 Avid Clutch Bearing Set is designed to withstand all of the torture you throw at them. AVID RC decided to stop trying to find a happy medium of a single bearing to cover both clutches and wheels. Clutch temperatures easily reach three (3) times more than that of a wheel bearing. In order to make this bearing more suitable for high temps and insane loads, several things had to be adjusted.- First, the balls are 20% larger than the AVID RC standard $2 bearing.
- Second, the depth of the grooves is much deeper so that there is a massive increase in the surface area for the larger balls.
- Third, the grooves are polished more than our standard bearing for a smoother surface which ensures the balls have the least amount of friction when experiencing those high loads.
- Lastly, the metal ribbon cage is replaced with nylon like our Aura and Engine Bearings which are 9-time IFMAR World Champions. This removes the metal to metal drag during high heat expansion.
Tips
Simply use an air compressor to blow the sides of each bearing for five (5) seconds and wipe the grease with a towel that comes out of the other side. The reason why this is done is that the clutch gets VERY hot. The heat ends up melting the grease and flinging it onto your clutch bell causing the shoes to slip and exponentially raising the temperature within the clutch. Within minutes, your bearings will have melted off all of the lubricants. The temperature, being twice what it should be, causes the metal to expand, the bearing to bind, and ultimately, fail.Specifications
- Specifically designed for use in clutches to withstand the high heat and loads.
- Balls are 20% larger than our standard bearing line and when combined with the deeper grooves in the races, you get a ton more surface area to distribute the load.
- Grooves are made from 52100 and polished to a higher level of smoothness to keep friction down when at higher loads.
- Cages are made from nylon instead of steel so that during high heat expansion situations there is no chance of metal to metal rubbing which results in less drag, and better strength.
- Includes: (2) 5x10x4 Metal Clutch Bearings

The Revolution Series bearings are a low friction bearing with several options to help satisfy anyone's desire.
Check your manual for the correct size for your vehicle if you are not certain.
