Ford trucks are among the most popular vehicles in the United States!
Among those are the F-150 series. Tamiya now brings back one of its classic Ford truck releases in the form of the iconic FORD F-150 Ranger XLT with various updates.
About the FORD F-150 XLT
The Ford F-150 Ranger XLT was originally released as a 1/10 R/C kit in 1981. The 1980 Ford F-150 Ranger was released as the first model of the seventh-generation model of the F series, and it featured angular design cues and robust ladder frame.
The truck prioritized both lightweight and durable design. The Ranger grade is positioned as the advanced specification and has extensive outside features such as 2-tone paint and chrome trim.As an option to the truck, Free Wheeling Package added unique characteristics such as stripes and special color scheme.
The re-release inherits the existing body of the original, but features newly molded side mirrors, wipers, headlights (separately sold LED lights can be attached.), front section including front grille and bumper guards, plus front stealth body mount (eliminated front body mount holes) for a more realistic look.
The R/C model assembly kit recreates the 7th generation model of the Ford F-150, a car with classic linear body design and a tough ladder frame that still retains popularity in the modern day as a classic truck. The model is a re-issue of a Tamiya classic, and features a realistic body molded in ABS plastic, with separately molded parts for bumpers (these are metal plated), side mirrors and wipers. Headlights can be fitted with separately sold LEDs, and at the front of the model a body hook mount eliminates exterior body mounts for a more realistic look. Also included is a driver figure and stickers to decorate the body with racer-style markings.
Sturdy 2WD Chassis
The chassis’ main frame is composed of 2mm thick FRP plate and duralumin reinforcing plate to ensure a balance of flex and rigidity for stable performance. Its 4-wheel independent suspension uses oil dampers and die-cast suspension arms in front double trailing arm and rear swing axle setups. The R/C equipment and battery pack are protected from dust and dirt picked up off-road by a transparent plastic box, while the full ball bearings in the drivetrain give efficient drive. 3-piece center-lock wheels hold their tires securely and are paired with semi-pneumatic block pattern tires for dynamic performance off-road.

- The rear suspension setup features a combination of lower "H" arms and upper turnbuckle shafts.
- The motor is attached in a transverse position to the rear of the battery pack, providing power to a drivetrain with 3 gears.
- A ball differential is housed in the sealed gearbox. Steel joint cups secure the durability needed for a demanding off-road drive.
- CVA oil dampers have red springs in keeping with the livery theme of the stylish Astute 2022.
- Black star dish design wheels are paired with sturdy hex hub nuts and front ribbed tires for superior directionality.
- At the rear, black star dish wheels are used in combination with square spike tires to give the model plenty of bite.
- Seen from the side, one can appreciate just how lowdown this streamlined buggy gets, with an accent provided by the fenders.
- The cockpit is a particular highlight, with an aircraft-inspired canopy and a driver figure installed inside for superb realism.
- Two different wing stay designs (high and low) are included in the kit, to help you tweak the car's downforce. This image shows low types.

The Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter was created by Subaru in the late 1970's from their earlier 4WD station wagon model for the US market. Powered by a flat-four engine ranging from 1.6 to 1.8 liters in displacement, this pickup had the unique feature of having jump seats welded to the truck bed, which allowed it to be imported as a car instead of a truck. One of the car's more famous owners was former US President Ronald Reagan, whose red BRAT is restored and displayed at his former residence in California.

Both the body and driver figure can be painted with paints for plastic model, so you can have fun finishing your machine with your own special colorings. This model runs great on both on-road and off-road tracks and is a great car to start with to begin your R/C career.
Easy to Assemble & Maintain
Chassis features a semi monocoque structure which the body is secured to ABS resin bathtub chassis and acts as the chassis' reinforcement. Independent swing axles for the front suspension, a rolling rigid rear suspension, and large-sized friction dampers effectively absorb shocks and bumps. Fully enclosed gearbox prevents dirt and debris from coming in, and differential gears allow smooth cornering. Wide groove front tires and rear square spike tires are installed on one-piece wheels to improve off-road driving performance. A wide range of option parts such as oil dampers are available to further customize your machine
